About Us

was established in 1987 as Salem Industries using the Supporta brand name for our range of Pillows, Cushions and Orthopaedic Appliances. In 1994 the Regent brand name was introduced when we started manufacturing Patient Lifting Slings and Pressure Reducing Mattresses. The Regent brand has now grown to include Nursing Home beds, Patient Lifters and other products.

Supporta Medical Products will continue to develop new products to assist health professionals in the care of their patients. We also encourage practitioners to come forward with their ideas and we will assist to bring their ideas to its full development stage.

If your patient requires any special variations or sizes of our products or requires a product to be designed specifically for their needs we are more than happy to assist in any way we can to provide for your patients requirements.
 
PRODUCT QUALITY
 
Quality is assured at all times as only high quality materials are used in the construction of our products. Exclusive use of Orthopaedic elastics guarantees the longevity of our products that your patients use. All our neoprene supports are fully lined, to assist in the comfort of the product.
 
SIZING
 
It is important that your patient be measured correctly so your patient can be fitted with the correct size support. Please see our measuring guide on page 15. However if the standard sizing does not suit your patients needs we can make any of our products to your measurements. There is a surcharge for this service.
 
WASHING INSTRUCTIONS FOR NEOPRENE AND ELASTIC PRODUCTS
 
Wash gently with mild soap in lukewarm water. Rinse thoroughly in warm water. Do not wring. Wrap in a towel and allow to dry away from direct heat and sunlight. Do not use harsh detergents or bleaches.
 
PRECAUTIONS FOR NEOPRENE SUPPORTS AND BACK SUPPORTS
 
Make sure the fit is correct and that the patient understands how to fit the product correctly.
Do not sleep with the brace on.
Ensure the brace is not too tight to disrupt circulation. Neoprene supports should be firm not tight.
Remove support with any sign of skin irritation.
